Marsh Supermarkets Holding, LLC
This 86-year-old Midwestern grocery chain filed Chapter 11 in May 2017.
At the time it had estimated assets of $50,000 and liabilities of $50 to $100 million with 49 creditors.
Founded in Muncie, IN in 1931, Marsh grew over the decades in Indiana and Ohio and operated over 100 stores at its peak.
But in June 2017, it began liquidating 29 of its stores. The Kroger Co. , through its successful bid on 11 Marsh locations, intends to take possession of its stores when liquidation sales are complete.
Alfred Giuliano was appointed the Liquidating Trustee in May 2018.
